If your stomach is made of sterner stuff than most mere mortals, why not combine your love of alcohol with a spot of history and embark upon a whiskey distillery tour?
Known as “Uisce beatha” by the Scots and Irish, whiskey has been an integral part of British and Irish culture since the dark ages, and with good reason.
You’ll see how it’s made before getting very quickly to the best part: sampling the produce. Can you tell the difference between a single malt and a 10 year old, special reserve, triple malt blended and aged in oak bourbon barrels? After a few drams, nobody will really care!
